Advocacy

We raise awareness of immigrant issues in the Keys. We fight for the dignity, safety and inclusion of immigrants in the Keys. Working for justice and human rights for all of our residents, we hold our institutions accountable for fair treatment to the most vulnerable.

Education & Outreach

We aim to address the tough questions that immigrants in our community face: questions about citizenship, residency, asylum, filing fees, undocumented issues, etc. Working with local, state and national organizations, we educate ourselves on immigration issues, make connections and bridge resources, host biannual legal clinics, and provide aid for local immigrants.

As a means to end isolation, we created a unique visitation program at the Monroe County ICE Detention Center, offering weekly English classes and monthly Know your Rights sessions to the immigrants detained there. Once the detention center was closed, we began to offer free weekly English classes in our community.
